The mind is a terrible thing…
Perhaps it is true that some people are born evil. A destructive genetic mutation, perhaps; some dark strand of DNA that, when activated, provides fertile ground for the worst of human capabilities.
Is there a way to identify such a person before they wreak havoc? Before it’s too late? Can you spot a mind consumed by darkness?
Can you pick that person out as they walk down the street? Would you recognize them in a grocery store? In a movie theater? In a church?
In a classroom?
Failure to do so could have tragic consequences, laying waste to countless innocent lives and haunting the families and loved ones of those affected—and even an entire community—forever.
We can hope that a mind infected with evil can be spotted in time…but sometimes, it isn’t. Sometimes, there is no hero to save the day.
